Total Body Park Workout
By Carmen Abercrombie

Whether your desire is to get into swimsuit shape this summer or simply  to improve your overall health, our Total Body Park Workout is for you.

Spending an hour or so in one of your town's many beautiful parks can do wonders for taking the edge off life. Breath in the air and release the stresses of everyday living as you strengthen and tone your body.

WARM UP: Walk

Start with a 30 minute walk. Start off slowly, then gradually speed up your pace.

CORE VALUES: Lateral Bicycle Lifts

Most people find abdominals to be the most challenging area to work so it’s best to get it done first. Find a backless bench or any flat surface.

Lie flat on your back or support your torso with your elbows. Start with bent legs to chest. Alternate straightening one leg while the other is bent.

25 to 50 Reps / 4 Sets

UPPER BODY: Easy Push Ups

Use the back of a bench.

8 to 15 Reps / 4 Sets

  LOWER BODY: Gentle Squats

Use a bench as your guide.

6 to 10 Reps / 4 Sets

COOL DOWN: Stretch

Caution - Remember to check with your doctor before starting this or any workout.

Class is designed to teach you how to create your personal total body park work out and includes technique training.
